John Norton, a Maine native, is a retired biochemist, executive, antique dealer, and now author. He lives in Colorado close to his granddaughters, who have been both his inspiration and his most enthusiastic early readers.

John has four books in his Birthday Series for younger readers and a six-book mid-grade series (for readers ages 9–14) titled The Adventures of Eva and Buckskin Charlie. Set in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in the late 1860s, the series is inspired by the Native American concept of living in harmony with nature and balance in your community.

The prequel and first two books of the series — The Fortune Teller on the Train, Eva’s Secret Name, and Eva’s New Older Brother — are now available.

All of John’s books are illustrated by talented artists: Carol Ruzicka brings the Eva series to life, while Lauren Rieth illustrates the Birthday Series.

John gives school workshops, presentations, book signings, and attends literary events. He welcomes inquiries from schools, libraries, and bookstores.
